Jernejevo 2023

Every year in August, the Municipality of Šentjernej celebrates Jernejevo – the municipal holiday in honor of St. Jerome, the patron saint of the town. The event has been taking place for over 20 years and includes a diverse program for all generations, including the Jernej’s Cycling Marathon, Doberšek’s Hike, harness races, athletic meet, exhibitions, concerts, procession of associations, launching of the “klopotec” (wind rattle), Jernejevo Fair, children’s activities, sports tournaments, ceremonial session of the Municipal Council, parish blessing, and open-air cinema. Along with musical performances and a rich culinary offering, Jernejevo unites the community in a festive spirit that celebrates the local identity.
