Grm Castle with its park
Grm Castle, the largest manor in Novo mesto, stands proudly on Grm Hill. It was built at the end of the 16th century by order of Krištof Mordax. A picturesque chestnut tree-lined avenue leads to the castle, which features four single-story wings enclosing a central courtyard.
Once richly decorated, the castle’s interior features a central hall adorned with remarkable 17th-century frescoes and stucco, which until recently served as a wedding venue. The castle is currently undergoing renovation, during which previously walled-up arcaded corridors are being rediscovered.
